Eliminate Property Tax

Our property taxes are out of control! Owning a home should provide security for you and your family yet skyrocketing property taxes have taken away that security. I fully support the elimination of property tax so you can truly enjoy the security of owning your home and land.

Strengthen Education

Parents and teachers know Texas students far better than the bureaucrats at the Texas Education Agency (aka TEA). Taking decisions out of the classroom in favor of a top-down approach has left many high school graduates lacking basic skills like reading and math. It’s time we put education back in the hands of those who know our kids best—parents and teachers.

Medical Freedom

Your medical decisions belong to you and you, alone.  The government does not have a medical license, and they have no business interfering with your health care by removing safe and effective treatments, like THC.   Well-regulated drugs, both natural and synthetic, can bring relief and foster healing and for some they might even be described as life-saving.

Protect Our Water Rights

For generations, East Texas waters have shaped the identity and spirit of the families who live near them.  They power agriculture, tourism, fishing, and recreation throughout the region. I strongly oppose the Marvin Nichols project, as well as any sale of water from Lake O’ The Pines, as both would have a devastating effect on many people living in East Texas.

Secure Every Election

One of the greatest privileges we have as Americans is our right to vote.  Unfortunately, our elections have become complicated with machines and hidden codes resulting in Texans losing faith in the security of our elections.  We must simplify our election process, insure only citizens with a valid ID have an opportunity to vote and the Attorney General should have authority to prosecute election crimes.

Border Security

American citizens deserve to feel safe in their home and community.  Texas is our home, and no matter who is in the White House, Texas must secure its border.  Conservative East Texans support a military presence at the border, swift deportation of illegal immigrants, criminalization of those who aid illegal crossings, and elimination of all government program benefits for illegals, including education.

Turn the Texas House Right Side Up

Republican voters expect our Republican representatives to fight for us, not partner with Democrats.  We don't want Democrats to have or share power.   Holding a Republican majority should mean Republicans setting the agenda, leading with conviction, and turning our conservative priorities into policy.

Right to Life

Every human has a right to life.  I will fight to protect the lives of every Texan from conception until natural death.

Armed, Safe,
& Free

Self-defense is a God-given right.  Every Texan has that right - that's what "Come and Take It" was all about.  Citizens don't need the government’s permission to exercise their right to bear arms.  

Protect the Innocence of Childhood

We must protect the innocence of children.  It is never acceptable to allow an adult to push sexual content, themes, or desires on a child.  This sick practice that hurts children has to stop and those who harm children must be severely punished. 

Stop Federal Overreach

The federal government is limited by the Constitution and the 10th Amendment and they actually mean something.  It's time for Texas to assert itself and stop looking to the federal government for permission to do what is best for Texas.  Let's let Texans manage Texas!

No More Corporate Welfare

Corporate welfare distorts the free market and creates unfair advantages for the politically connected.  It’s time we hung up a CLOSED sign on the Corporate Handouts office.  Our government in Austin has no business picking winners and losers in the economy with your money.

Stop Taxpayer Funded Lobbying

Taxpayer dollars should be used to serve the people—not to influence legislation against our interests. Texans deserve to know their hard-earned money is being used for its designated purpose.  All taxpayer funded lobbying should be prohibited.

Law & Order

District attorneys who refuse to protect citizens from criminals shouldn't be district attorneys.  Police departments should be adequately funded, and rogue district attorneys should be held accountable when they refuse to enforce the law.

D.O.G.E. Texas, Shrink Government Size, and Slash Spending

The Texas government exists to protect its people, not to act like the people are its ATM.  I fully support significantly reducing Government (size and spending) to the core functions of protecting life, liberty, property, and enforcing the rule of law; everything else is outside of the proper role of Government.
